The Melon's Lion

Pictures from deployments, and stuff I like.
If you don't belong here, don't pretend to.

I believe in the Oxford comma.

Anonymous asked: To me, weapons mean one thing: Violence.

I respect that. That’s actually very common.

To me, they don’t really represent much. They’re tools, just like any other that I use and own. I can’t drive nails into wood by myself, so I own a hammer; I can’t defend myself against an armed attacker, so I own guns.

We choose the tools we supplement our lives with based on what we think we’ll need. I never plan on being a doctor, so I don’t own a stethoscope. If you’ve decided that you will never need to use a gun, honestly… you’re probably right, and that’s great.

It just comes down to personal preference, really. Tools are tools, my friend. I choose the ones I think I’ll need to use one day, and I become proficient with them.

Thank you for your opinion.
